O-M-G the wait has been brutal! Mike, we missed you…Harvey…we love you. That promo looks absolutely insane, whatever it is, whatever is in store for Mike in the coming months is going to be totally awesome. Most of the main cast now knows about Mike’s secret, and the mid season finale ended off with Louis finding out- so s**** about to hit the fan. Also, it looks like things are getting serious between Harvey and Scottie- and Harvey’s real life dad (Stephen Macht the man behind the desk) makes an appearance on the show. Cannot wait for this one. If you haven’t seen Suits, you need to watch it. It’s the most underrated television show out there, not enough people know about it. It is amazing.
The continuation of season 3 of Suits premieres March 6th 2014.
Check out the promo below.
A few months ago we caught up with some of the cast on set while they were filming in downtown Toronto. Check out the pictures below, it definitely looks like this season is going to Mike/Louis heavy and maybe a little Harold action?
It’s official…we are having major Suits withdrawals. The final chunk of the third season resumes sometime in January 2014…but don’t worry- we’ve been busy tracking the show in Toronto. Here are some pics from the set (on location at the Pearson/Specter offices).
Also, spoiler alert? According to one of my sources – Harold is on set and apparently there is some big argument that goes down between him and Mike. Harold was apologizing to Mike but Mike was next level pissed off.
A. It’s kind of weird that Harold has a major recurring role
B. What is up with the Louis/Harold/Mike story…does it have something to do with Louis finding out about Mike’s secret?
That’s all we can assume…don’t forget to check out our pics!
Last night’s episode of Suits was uneventful compared to the episodes we’ve seen in the past few weeks. Mike and Rachel get into a big fight after Mike visits her father and gets him to agree on a deal by using Rachel as a weapon. When Rachel finds out she’s furious with Mike…and she no longer knows if moving in together is a good idea.
Harvey and Donna are enjoying the aftermath of the Ava Hessington case…but things are about to get worse before Donna gets another handbag. At the end of the episode, Jessica finds out that Scotty had no involvement in Harvey’s deal with Wholesome Foods…and Ava not only fired Harvey…but she’s suing the entire firm for malpractice. Ooh girl!
Next week’s promo for the summer season finale looks absolutely cray! Jessica finds out about Mike and Rachel and she isn’t happy. Donna visits her man in prison…I wonder if Steven will end up being her baby daddy.
Also check out the song that was playing during Mike and Rachel’s scene. It’s by Jacobs Banks.
The Ava Hessington case went over a cliff with a huge shocker from last night’s episode. The episode titled, “She’s Mine” explains everything that went on in the 45 minutes. Louis trying to win Nigel’s cat Mikado…and Harvey battling it out with Donna’s new boytoy- Steven.
Louis doesn’t want to give back Mikado, Nigel had asked Louis to watch his precious kitty while he was on a business trip…and when he returns one week early…Louis refuses to give back the pussy. Nigel and Louis agree on a mock trial…whoever the jury decides is the best fit to parent Mikado will take her home. Louis chooses Rachel as his attorney…and it turns out to be a good decision because she actually wins the trial. Nigel has an offer, he proposes to give back the associates to Louis in return for his Mikado. We all know Louis loves his associates, even if they’re all scared of him. Rachel reminds Louis that Mikado is Nigel’s cat…and he can’t give up his pride and joy. Louis awards Rachel with an acceptance letter to Columbia Law. He admits he saw it on the mail cart in the morning and wanted to present it to her himself. So cute! Guess Rachel is staying in the city!
After Steven leads Cameron Dennis to another key witness, Harvey is furious with him, not just because he’s sleeping with Donna…but because he keeps f****** s*** up for the H Man. Harvey and Mike find information on Ava’s protege Nick, the information is solid to blackmail him…so Jessica/Harvey/Mike decide to pin the murders on him. During their meeting with Nick, Nick pleads he never knew anything…and they decide that the jury will never believe the number #1 (Ava)…didn’t know what the number #2 (Nick) was up to. AKA referring to the secret mission Harvey had to bring down Jessica. But don’t worry, they’re all cool now.
Anyways, in the end Donna finds out that Steven used her to get information about Ava’s case. Donna is furious with Steven, but admits she won’t tell Harvey about this. It looks like they’re over, but it’s obvious Donna is walking away with a broken heart. Things get even worse when Mike looks into Steven’s past. He comes running over to Donna and tells her to get Jessica and Harvey into his office immediately. It turns out, Steven is the one that ordered the murders!!!!! He was and still is on the same rugby team as the key witness…there were phone calls traced from the Darby offices in London to the guy that murdered all those people. So really, Ava and Nick really had no idea this was going on. Ava hired Steven to help her out…and he did…he just didn’t tell her all the things he had to do.
Donna is listening to their conversation with tears in her eyes, she apologizes to Harvey, he looks back at her and realizes she’s hurting. Harvey storms out of his office…into the bathroom…and beats the s*** out of Steven. Oh and he breaks the bathroom mirror. Oops!
Last night’s episode of Suits was supposed to be the ‘big one’ of the season with a flashback into the lives of Harvey/Donna…Mike and his loser best friend. I have to say, I wasn’t all that impressed with what went down…and what didn’t. From watching the previews, it’s easy to assume the entire episode is a flashback…giving viewers a giant dose of young Harvey and Donna. Instead, the episode takes us back and forth from past to present, because obviously the boys still have the Ava Hessington case to deal with.
MIKE FLASHBACK: Rachel is off to visit Stanford, which gives Mike more time to work on the case…and a lot more time in his flashbacks. Other than learning that Mike did get into Harvard legitimately…his flashbacks were sort of boring. I mean it was the same old story with him and his best friend selling dope/making money by doing other people’s tests. It turns out, the first test Mike gave the answers to was to the University dean’s daughter…and now the University is firing the dean for conspiracy…so the dean decides to unleash hell on earth for Mike and promises him that he will never let Mike go to Harvard…even if he’s already been accepted. Sucks for Mikey.
HARVEY FLASHBACK: Harvey and Donna obviously have a very charming past…the flashbacks starts when Harvey is working under Cameron Mustache Dennis and Donna is his secretary. Harvey is totally hitting on Donna…but she’s kind of refusing him…but it’s obvious she wants him to. I mean come on nobody can resist Harvey Specter. While Cameron and Harvey are working on their case, Cameron asks Harvey to plant evidence in the paperwork. After Donna reminds him of what’s right and wrong, and shows Harvey she’s not just a secretary…she’s Donna…and if he doesn’t like that then he should hire someone else. Harvey sees the bigger picture and refuses to cooperate with Cameron…then Cameron calls him a p**** and I’m just surprised Harvey didn’t clock him in the mustache.
Harvey is so adorable in his regular people clothes. He visits his dad at the baseball park…and this scene made me love him even more. He asks his dad for advice on what he should do about Cameron. We’ve only ever seen Harvey visiting his father’s grave…so to see a scene where he’s asking for advice (which is rare for Harvey) it was really endearing. His father tells him exactly what Donna tells him which is not to trust Cameron…and if he’s done this once…he will surely do it again.
In the end, Harvey quits his job at the DA’s office…and decides to join Jessica’s side. She is currently bringing down her predecessors…and asks Harvey to join the revolution! Before he officially accepts…he visits Donna at her apartment!!! And she answers with a can of whip cream? Oh lawd. Please Mr.Korsh let us see where this goes! Harvey reminds Donna that they are no longer working together….which means they can totally hook up! And that’s exactly what they end up doing…except we don’t see anything happen so for all we know they could have been playing scrabble.
After Harvey officially accepts Jessica’s offer…and tells her he’s bringing on his own secretary…he visits Donna at The Diner. He tells her he has a job offer …and she agrees only if she gets a big signing bonus. Don’t worry Donna he left the amount empty. D + H make a promise that as long as they’re working together they will never speak of what happened between nor will they do whatever they did that ‘other time’. They also need a new ritual..and so the can opener secret is born.
And then we jump to the present, and Donna’s back at The Diner by herself until Harvey shows up. He admits to her that the whole Steven situation does bother him…she knows…she just wanted him to admit that.
At the offices, Harvey is feeling guilty to he admits to Jessica that he made a deal with Darby. Jessica is livid, and I say livid because I feel that’s the appropriate word for describing someone who is so pissed but keeps her s*** together.
Now that Jessica knows, what will happen at the Pearson Darby Specter offices?
Ever since Donna started shacking up with Steven, she’s had a certain ‘glow’ to her, one that Louis can’t seem to ignore. I have to say, this entire Donna/Steven story has my attention peaked…it’s been a long time since we’ve seen a soap opera-ish story whisk us away.
Donna is on the cusp of telling Harvey about her and Steven, but Harvey’s ‘debbie downer’ phase has been putting Donna off. Unfortunately for Donna, Steven might make it to Harvey first, because they’re working on the Cameron Dennis case together. After Harvey bets Mike off the case, it leaves Steven and him alone working together, two handsome hunks using their handsome skills to claw away at Mighty Mustache Cameron. Sounds like a sexy western.
Mike’s off the case, which means he needs to find another way to kill his precious time. He enlists his gal pal Rachel, and they decide to tackle the case together, agreeing on the terms that Mike gets to play Harvey and Rachel gets to be Mike. But that’s not the only thing they’re working together on. When Rachel tells Mike she has dinner plans with her parents, Mike feels left out without an invite. Mike invites himself anyway and ends up having a wonderful evening with Rachel’s rents. Until…Rachel’s dad asks Mike how he feels about Rachel going to Stanford…Mike is caught off guard..and her dad realizes Rachel never told Mike. The next morning Mike is being weird with Rachel, and finally blurts it out that she never told him about Stanford. She admits she didn’t think she was going to get in, or at least not tell him until she found out for sure. Aside from that, they end up winning their case, which was obvious from the get go.
On the other side of the office, Harvey isn’t having any luck with Steven as a wingman. Steven ends up going behind Harvey’s back to make a deal that Harvey didn’t want. So Harvey does the only thing he can do, ask for Jessica’s help. Harvey and Jessica decide to ask Ava if she will let Tony Gianopoulos own the company, and still let her control it. This will free Ava of her murder charges and ultimately keep her out of jail. Jessica has a heart to heart as she relates to Ava’s case and admits she had to agree to a merger to save her company. It wasn’t what she wanted, but something she needed to do. Lady Stark will never listen to you!! Unless…maybe?
Don’t forget to watch next week’s episode…the show goes back in time ten years!! Which means Mike and Harvey didn’t know each other…and more importantly…Harvey and Donna knew each other very well if ya know what I mean! Woo!
There is a ton of drama swarming the offices of Pearson/Darby, and yet Rachel and Donna still find a way to mend their relationship. Last week was a tough one for Rachonna, they had their first real argument and it made for an awkward episode. Thankfully, the two forgive each other, and Rachonna is back in full force. It’s a good thing the girls are back together, because the boys are super busy, especially when Ava Huffington returns for some ‘unfinished business’.
Ava and Harvey go out for lunch (was that The Thompson Hotel?)…Ava offers Harvey a job, she wants him to work for her. Obviously, Harvey has other plans…like finishing his lunch…but that doesn’t work out either because Cameron Moustache Dennis shows up and arrests Ava! Apparently, they are arresting Ava for murder…they think she hired some people to kill a bunch of other people. Harvey is back to work, saving Ava from going to jail. At the hearing, Harvey asks the judge for bail, Cameron doesn’t want to give Ava the option of bail, but Harvey wins this round by accusing Cameron of personally choosing this case as a vendetta against Harvey.
There’s a new man in town, Steven Huntley is visiting the offices from London town, he makes an impressive entrance, but is even more impressed with a certain red head.
Steven makes a good first impression on Donna…well sort of. He asks Harvey how he works with that bombshell outside of his office, and Harvey replies by telling Steven she can hear everything they’re saying. Turns out Steven is here to assist Harvey in the take down of Jessica Pearson. One problem, Harvey doesn’t trust Steven and refuses to work with him.
At lunch, Harvey and Steven are interrupted by a determined Cameron who presents Harvey with some new findings. He says he has witnesses who place Ava’s hired men at the scene of the crime. Harvey and Mike are back at work to figure out what they’re going to do. Ava’s obsessed with trying to find out if Harvey thinks she’s innocent or guilty.
Katrina the crazy is back in the game…settings things in motion. She wants to get in on the Hessington case but when Mike refuses her, she tries to apologize. When she mentions his relationship with someone in the office…he immediately says Rachel’s name. Katrina smiles and points out how funny it is that Mike immediately assumed she was talking about Rachel. Mike explains the Katrina situation to Rachel…and Rachel gets all emotional and asks if she’s Mike’s girlfriend. He gets down on one knee and asks her the old fashioned way.
Their lovey dovey moment is interrupted by a video that’s sent throughout the office. It’s a video making fun of Mike, showing Harvey giving birth to Mike? It was really weird, but it’s Katrina’s way of getting her revenge. Mike wants to get her back, but Harvey stops him in his tracks and reminds Mike they need to figure out the Ava case. But, Harvey can’t contain himself so he decides to tell Katrina off himself.
When Mike and Harvey visit Ava at her apartment, she tells them they need to resort to plan a..which is bribing the witnesses. Harvey refuses to do something illegal just to get her out of this lawsuit…but she’s done with Harvey so she fires him.
The next day Ava meets with Steven Huntley, Harvey freaks out that this guy has taken his client from him. When he confronts Steven about Ava, Steven tells Harvey that he advised Ava not to bribe anyone as it is probably a set up from Cameron. Looks like Harvey is surprised with Steven’s good advice.
Harvey and Mike figure out a way to ‘bribe’ the witnesses without it being illegal. If they sue Ava with proper documentation, she can basically pay them off…the whole transaction being completely legal. Yay!
In the end, Katrina gets what she asked for. Louis agrees to bring her on as his assosciate…and it looks like they’re going to do some damage together. Mike finishes up the paperwork with Ava, she asks him one last time if Harvey thinks she’s guilty. He replies by telling her he doesn’t feel it’s his place to tell her…and he doesn’t feel comfortable telling her what he thinks of the case. Harvey and Mike discuss business, Mike tells Harvey he knows Ava is probably guilty. Harvey doesn’t say anything which means he agrees. They have a few drinks, and Harvey tells Mike of his secret plans to take Jessica down.
Donna and Steven have a little moment outside. As Donna’s leaving work, which is a rare thing for us to see. Steven rolls up in a vintage sports car…he tries to charm Donna, but Donna isn’t impressed that easily. He tells her what if he had MacBeth tickets…she tells him she’s already scene the play…he tells her she’s never seen it with him…in the front row…with Daniel Day Lewis. He drives off, leaving her alone on the street…she realizes she’s in trouble because she’s actually impressed. Woo! Donna has a love interest! Harvey’s gonna get jealous!!
Last night’s episode of Suits…AH-mazing as always. There is so much drama to deal with this season, it’s hard to focus on what really matters-solving the case. I love you Michelle Fairley, but really could care less about your case when there’s drama between Harvey/Mike and now Donna and Rachel!?
To sum things up, Harvey discovers Ava’s second in command rats her out on the bribery charges. Harvey knows how to play on people’s emotions, and advises Nick to think things through before he betrays his longtime mentor Ava. Nick is confused about his testimony, even though Harvey found a weak point in Nick, he couldn’t get the knockout win. It’s still works out because the case isn’t going to trial. Jessica and Harvey discuss different outcomes of the case, Harvey likes to win and he’s upset he didn’t get the win he wanted. It looks like that’s all we’ll get to see of Catelyn Stark.
In the aftermath of Louis losing his associates, Jessica finds it in her heart to let Louis finally have one associate to himself. We already know who his first pick is…and Louis immediately gets to work to dig deeper into the ‘breakup’ of Harvey and Mike. Comparing them to the Prom King and his Boy Wonder, Louis asks Donna if they actually broke up, or having a time out. Donna tells Louis to ask Harvey himself, Louis begs her to ask him…but it’ll be more entertaining for Donna if she gets to see Louis beg Harvey. Harvey doesn’t put up a fight, mostly because he knows Mike will say no to Louis.
Louis is eager to have Mike on his team so he bribes Mike with a case that will be ground breaking if they win. Mike can’t resist, Louis promises a victorious outcome and the two start working together. Louis takes Mike to his favourite steakhouse…and then a quick dip in a clay bath…but when Mike puts the pieces together to solve their case…Louis makes an abrupt decision. One that probably leaves Mike scarred for life.
Back at the office, there is more drama that takes place in the women’s bathroom. After Rachel finds out that Harvey told Mike not to see Rachel (back when she didn’t know about his lie)…she’s absolutely devastated that Harvey would even think of her in that situation.
What she’s more pissed about is that Donna knew the entire time and didn’t tell her. Donna walks in on Rachel in the bathroom…not that she wasn in the bathroom doing business…she was just in the bathroom fixing her makeup. Anyways, Donna storms in and Rachel breaks out in tears. She tells Donna she thought they were friends, she thought she could trust her. Donna explains that this is still her job and she still needs to protect Harvey. Rachel throws back an insult…insinuating Donna’s devotion to Harvey, and all Donna says…’Rachel, I’m going to leave before this gets any worse’. And before Rachel can say anything Donna storms out of the bathroom. Nice!
In the end, Mike and Louis win their lawsuit. Louis is so happy, Mike visits him in his office to discuss their relationship. It’s important here to note, Mike visits Harvey a few times throughout the episode…and the last time, Harvey tells Mike they are done for good. So he can go ahead and do whatever he wants with Louis, because there’s nothing left between the two. I swear it sounded like a boyfriend/boyfriend breakup! Anyways, Mike agrees to team up with Louis. Louis is so happy he runs off to get something from the kitchen. And then this happens.
After Donna tells Harvey to finally get over the Mike situation, and that Mike’s really not the one to blame, Harvey magically forgives Mike and all is right in the world. Harvey tells Mike he needs to come back to where he belongs, with him and Donna. Mike flashes a small smile, Harvey forgives him and they end their feud with a high five. The only thing is, Louis sees the entire thing, and it is so heartbreaking!
Waaah! I feel so bad for Louis, just when he thought he had a best friend in Mike. We’ll have to see what happens next week!
Don’t forget there’s an all new episode of Suits tonight! On Twitter, @Suits_USA Tweeted who will find out about Mike’s secret next? It’s an interesting question…I don’t know if anyone will find out this season…but ya never know! Check out the teaser below.
There is a lot to talk about with last night’s SUITS premiere. As long as they got their suit & tie, Harvey and Mike are guaranteed to cause some trouble at Pearson and…Darby?
Mike is recovering from the craziness of last season, he went behind Harvey’s back and was forced to side with Jessica. Harvey is extremely pissed off, he’s never been this mad, on top of that Mike is dealing with Rachel drama. Now that she knows the truth about him…he’s worried she might not want to be with him.
Buuuuuut taking a look at this picture, it’s pretty obvious how Rachel feels. Mike focuses his attention on Harvey, he wants to make up for what he’s done but neither Harvey or Donna want to speak to him. Harvey’s biggest thing is loyalty, and when he feels like the people closest to him aren’t being loyal…he cuts them out. Donna obviously sides with Harvey, she’s disappointed Mike would agree to help Jessica. Donna admits she’s always been on Mike’s side, but in this situation she agrees with Harvey, Mike has a lot of making up to do.
It seems like the only person on Mike’s side is Louis. The one man he despised all along is now his copyroom companion. He tells Mike a story about him and Harvey back in the day and it inspires Mike to take on the case Harvey is working on, in hopes of winning the case and winning Harvey’s heart.
There are a few additions to the show this season, especially one that I am really excited about. For all the Game of Thrones fanatics, this season was especially grueling because we had to deal with the loss of our great mother- Catelyn Stark. The day after the Red Wedding episode aired, a few Suits actors posted pictures of Fairley on the set of Suits on Instagram. I’m sure fans everywhere were super excited to have mama Stark back!
Conleth Hill who plays Lord Varys in Game of Thrones has also taken up the role of Edward Darby in Suits. He’s now partners with Jessica Pearson, and one of his biggest cases involves Fairley’s character, he appoints Harvey to take the lead on the case. Harvey agrees to help Darby only if Darby agrees to let Harvey resign. Jessica finds out that Darby had a ‘relationship’ with Ava Hessington’s (Fairley) father…what kind of relationship they had wasn’t really explained but I think it’s safe to say Darby might be the first gay character on the show.
In the midst of all the angry Harvey, and by the way it is totally giving me anxiety…Harvey catches Scotty at the airport before she leaves for London. She’s pissed off at him because he made Darby send her to London, but on the bright side she didn’t lose her job. Even though we see crazy angry Harvey, we see a glimpse of the softer side, the side that kinda fell in love with Scotty back in their Harvard days. Harvey gets Scotty to forgive him..so sweet of Harvey…but really he needed information on Ava Hessington.
Fast forward, Mike tries to help Harvey win the case, when Mike confronts Harvey in the lobby all hell breaks loose. Mike begs Harvey to say whatever it is he’s been meaning to say, Mike just wants all of this to be over with. Before Harvey walks away he does one of his sexy spins and walks right up to Mike and gives the scariest speech I’ve ever seen Gabriel Macht act out. He tells Mike he should’ve came to him, Mike says Jessica was threatening him so he had no choice, Harvey yells back by saying it doesn’t matter what she was holding against him, he should’ve came to Harvey and they would’ve figured it out together. That’s what friends do, that’s what loyalty is. Mike is speechless, and Harvey walks away.
Meanwhile, Louis is busy dealing with the uniball massacre. With the new merger there are new pens being used in the office, which means Louis is short on his uniball pens. On top of that, British Louis has also taken away his raspberry bran treats…Louis isn’t having any of it.
It seems like this Ava Hessington case will continue on for a few more episodes, I think it’s going to be a huge element of the third season…especially when Harvey asks Darby to change the terms of their ‘arrangement’ hence the title of the episode. Darby laughs him off by reminding Harvey he might not even win. Now that there’s a new prosecutor on the case, things have gotten a little harder. Harvey assures Darby that although the case has more challenges, the outcome is still very important to Darby (aka Harvey knows everything). Darby asks Harvey what he really wants, Harvey asks Darby to back him up as Managing Partner…Harvey wants to take down Jessica.
