The Challenge: You Got Swerved

Two things: Shout out to LeRoy for being beyond hilarious this episode. And #2 thank you Jordan for instigating some crazy entertaining ish this week.

Let’s quickly recap this week’s episode of The Challenge: Free Agents.

KillCard

After weeks of ‘ish-talking’ to Johnny Bananas, Jordan finally gets the chance to face JB in an elimination round. He loses the challenge on purpose, putting him into the draw (the player that chooses the kill card has to face Johnny Bananas). So he tells his Real World:Portland roomie Johnny (not Bananas) that he should vote in Bananas, and then Jordan will just pick all the cards until he gets the kill card. He’s a man of his word and he’s promised to be the one to kick JB out of the house. Literally, CT and LeRoy were a laughing wreck the entire time this was going down.

For the girls, I love Laurel and Emily but legitimately they need to be in their own division. It needs to be…Guys/Girls and Emily & Laurel. They’re just, they have it all. Brains and Brawn and that’s not a bad thing…well it is for the other girls because like Jonna? Jasmine? They stand no chance.

Anyways, Laurel wins another challenge (Cara was a close second) but Laurel gets to choose whose going into eliminations and she chooses Aneesa. And then- Jonna chooses the kill card- and then Aneesa beats Jonna- and Jonna’s going home. See how easy that was?

Okay back to the guys!! Jordan lifts all 3 cards and obviously unveils the kill card. TJ, CT, Cara everyone’s going crazy because they can’t believe he just did that. It looked like it was a close game for a few seconds, and then Jordan made a huge mistake and loses his step, falling down the wall giving Johnny all the time in the world to ring that bell. I have to say, I’ve never wanted Bananas to win so badly. I think it was time for Jordan to swallow his big boy words and leave like a man. In the end, Jordan admits $125k is a lot of money, but his pride is worth more. It was a smart move in a way, he literally did the most unheard of thing in Challenge history, so producers will definitely be calling him up for future shows. I don’t doubt he’ll win some money some day. Now that Jordan’s gone…what will Laurel do?

Maybe she’ll take up designing flower arrangements?

The Challenge: FREE AGENTS (Episode 1)

Ooh ooh! The new season of MTV’s The Challenge premiered last night and O-M-G it was absolutely spine tingling. If you’re not a fan of the popular MTV series (it’s currently in its 25th season) it’s basically a bunch of Real World people mixed with some randoms. Historically, The Challenge was a blend of two shows on MTV, The Real World and Road Rules. Now they usually take people from all seasons of The Real World, and sometimes throw in some randoms they find on the street. Anyways, it’s basically survivor but they live in a gigantic mansion, Jeff Probst isn’t the host, and they’re all 21-35 year old adults or children, depending on the episode.

TC

So lets get right into this new season. It’s called ‘Free Agents’ because all the contestants are fighting for themselves. Unlike past seasons where contestants are either paired up with their ‘rivals’, ‘exes’ or just put into teams based on their real world season, this one forces the contestants to face each battle on their own. There’s a catch, since they are ‘free agents’ that technically means they can be thrown around anywhere (to any team), so before each challenge, TJ announces what type of challenge they’ll be doing and with whom. It could be a solo mission, an entire team, or just with another female/male.

This week, contestants were separated into two teams (Red vs. Black). It was sort of like a relay race, certain sections of the challenge were given to certain contestants, some players had to run up 42 flights of stairs being chained to one another. The others were waiting at the top of the highest building in Uruguay to get the key from their stair master teammates and solve a puzzle. Once the puzzle was solved, the left over teammates had to walk across a giant beam hanging in mid air. Sounds exhausting right?

I already noticed the editing in this first episode was different. I’ve seen a lot of these seasons and this first episode is definitely one that stands out in terms of production value. I loved that slow motion camera they had on the contestants walking across the beam. Amazing. Also, how cool was that lit up Challenge sign at the pit or whatever it’s called this season.TheChallenge

To say this first challenge was uneventful is completely underrated. Blood and sweat weren’t the only things flying around, Swift (Real World: St Thomas) had the great idea of literally flying through the air to save his teammates who were being trapped in the stairwell. He jumps over Johnny or someone and gets the key out from under the carnage. It was amazing. LaToya (Real World: St. Thomas) felt sick after her stair climb, apparently she hit her head and was rushed to the emergency room while everyone commented on how ‘weak’ she was. Oh boy, how quickly they should’ve regretted saying that one.

Meanwhile, the fate of her teams victory lied in Jess’ sturdy legs and when she ran over that log and rung that bell it was like a light went off inside of her and every single bad childhood memory she had playing sports was wiped away clean because she won for her team! She did it! Dreams really do come true!

After the black team wins the challenge, the team is forced to vote in two players from the red team. They choose to vote in Chet (Real World:Brooklyn) and LaToya. It wasn’t over yet, because everyone’s names who had at least 1 vote against them were still in the running to be sent into eliminations. At the pit, the contestants with votes against have to lift a card and if there’s a skull on it that means they have to go into eliminations. This week, the guy and girl who saw the skulls were: Jemmye (Real World: Back to New Orleans) and Frank (Real World: San Diego)

KillCard

The elimination game was a simple five rounds of put the ball into the hole. You were either offense or defense…you get the point. Honestly, the guys match up was so anti climatic. After 3 rounds, Chet cut his chin wide open. It was bleeding pretty bad but the medics taped him up and TJ asked him if he wanted to continue and get stitched up later or just forfeit. I really didn’t see it coming, but apparently Chet makes money from his gorgina face and chose to forfeit, he admitted that his face and body were worth more than the idea of a large sum of untaxed money. Is it untaxed though?

The girls on the other hand, went HAM. H. A. M…LaToya definitely put up a fight. I think everyone was expecting her to get blown over by Jemmye, but that first round she literally did a circle around Jemmye and put the ball in the bin. The girls ended up fighting until the last round, but LaToya pulled through and she tossed Jemmye out of the ring ending the match. Jemmye’s a good player though and she gave Toya a huge hug and congratulated her on her well deserved victory. See, this is what all women should aspire to!

In the end, Nany reminds us that last season Jemmye was in the finals and this season she’s going home first. That can only mean this challenge is the biggest and baddest season yet! Stay tuned!

The Challenge: Free Agents

It’s that time a year again! My favourite time is challenge time, yep a brand spackin’ new season of MTV’s The Challenge premiers on Thursday April 10th 10pmET.

So instead of being paired up in teams like they usually are, this season is all about going solo. It’ll most likely be one winner for the girls, and one winner for the boys. Either way, it’s going to be cray!

Check out the trailer below.

WHO WON RIVALS II??

For once, we can say Johnny Bananas didn’t win first place…and for that I am grateful. For the girls, I think it was pretty obvious Emily and Paula would come in first place…Cooke and Cara came in second. At the start of the race Cooke and Cara had a good lead…but the powerhouse duo caught up to them midway in the eating portion of the challenge.

rs_293x473-130626090203-634.rivals.ls.62613

CT and Wes absolutely killed this final race…I had a huge smile on my face watching these two long time rivals battle it out. CT was so supportive of Wes, the entire time he was encouraging him and reminding him why they came all this way. CT might be a crazy maniac but I love watching him in finals…he was so good with Diem last time it’s a shame they didn’t win.

Anyways, CT and Wes won first place…they actually had a huge lead against Frank and Johnny. The horn being blown from the beach could be heard inland where Johnny and Frank were still working on their obstacle. I’m sure it’s a crushing feeling to hear that horn, but I was glad Johnny wasn’t the happy and smug one for once.

Emily and Paula made it back to the boat with Cara and Cooke trailing a ways behind. It looked like Cara and Cooke gave up once Paula and Emily passed them in the carrying obstacle. They just knew there was no way they’d catch up and beat them.

1_image-large

There has been some crazy ass final challenges in the past few years, and even though this one looked intense…I don’t think it was as crazy as others. I didn’t like how there were only 4 teams in the final race….in the past there were several teams with 4 or 5  people all in the running…bigger teams…bigger suspense…you just have no idea whose going to win. In Rivals II we knew who was going to come in first place…or at least knew who would be winning some money. I was just waiting for it to be over.

Congratulations CT and Wes…finally CT wins his first ever Challenge! Emily and Paula absolutely killed the entire season…I don’t think it was a fair pairing…they are two extremely strong contenders and it just doesn’t make sense for those two to be paired together…in comparison to other teams like Cooke and her original partner Naomi.

I am so curious as to what the next Challenge will be…I’m hoping for a Rookies VS Vets…we haven’t seen one in a while and now that we have more rookies it will definitely be a great platform for the drama to unfold.

1st PLACE

CT and Wes    |    Emily and Paula

2nd PLACE

Johnny and Frank  |  Cooke and Cara

3rd PLACE

Marlon and Jordan   |   Jemmye and Camila

RIVALS II: This Is the End…for Diem

Last night’s episode of MTV’s The Challenge:Rivals II was absolute insanity. There was no elimination last night, but we did get to see a whole lot of drama in the house, especially after the girls had their final challenge.

There are only four girl teams left…and it all came down to last night’s final challenge….every team wants to win that first spot and win their ticket to the final race. Cara and Cooke are on their own when the other 3 teams decide they want C & C voted into the jungle…of course that’s if Cara and Cooke don’t win immunity. Ha-Ha!

CandC

I’ve never been a fan of Cara…but this season that has all changed thanks to Cooke. Cooke and Cara have fought through countless jungles…they’ve sent teams home and I think they deserve to be in the final race. They’ve had a target on their backs since day one…and it’s no question as to why they are my favourites right now. Having said that, this final challenge was extremely nerve wracking, I literally couldn’t breathe until it was over. It was a good ol’ game of simon says…the girls were chained to their partner, they had to run across the scorching hot beach to a tent where a machine signalled out the colours to them. Then they had to run back to the start line and assemble the colours in the appropriate order. There were two heats…so whoever came in last in the first heat automatically was sent to the jungle.

I did not expect my girls to win this round…I mean it’s the most important race and I just assumed Emily and Paula would kill it. Right off the start Em and Paula are zooming down the beach, C and C are in second…Diem and Aneesa are following in third and Jemmye is having a hard time running alongside Camila. The teams reach the tent to memorize their signals…Cooke and Cara are the first ones to get it, they zoom off leaving Em and Paula stunned. Diem finds herself sketching out when she can’t hold on to the colours in her head, Aneesa is standing there watching her partner completely break down. By this point the other 3 teams are down the beach…Cooke and Cara complete their order coming in first. Em and Paula come in second and Jemmye and Camila are in third. Diem and Aneesa are automatically sent to the jungle. Diem’s face…I just wish I had a picture….this is exactly what she didn’t want, she never wanted to see a jungle.

DiandA

In the second heat, it was Cooke and Cara against powerhouse Em and Paula. This was literally make or break, the boys were standing their watching the best entertainment of their lives. Somehow, Cara pulls through and continues her pace with Cooke. They make it to the tent a few seconds after Em and Paula, but again they’re the first ones out as Cara promises Cooke she’s got the order. For a few minutes I was like….this is where Cara f***s everything up!!

Cara and Cooke make it back to assemble the colours…by this point Em and Paula are caught up but C and C fight through and they end up winning first place!!!! When TJ blew that horn…wow I couldn’t be happier for these two girls. Everyone else was stunned…Diem was boiling with rage at the sight of Cooke celebrating. The guys were going nuts because everyone knows the house is about to be ripped apart…nobody thought Cooke and Cara would win immunity,

Back at the house….the girls are scrambling to lock down their votes. For the first time in the game, Em and Paula are legitimately facing the jungle and they are scared sh*tless. And this is why I love Jemmye and Camila. Not once did they beg the guys to not vote them in…they stayed out of it all.  Even though they could be facing the jungle…they sure as hell knew they would be coming back from it.

Paula is begging Jordan and Marlon not to vote for them, she has tears in her eyes…Jemmye walks by and turns to the boys and tells them she def can’t cry like that. Then everything blows up and Jemmye calls out Em and Paula for begging like a bunch of you know whats…somehow Diem gets involved…and then Jemmye is calling Diem an idiot…..how could she fall for CT all over again…everyone knows how he is and that he’s hooked up with everyone. The problem was…Diem wanted to go against Jem and Camila because she thinks she can beat them…however CT and Wes were saying they were going to vote in Em and Paula for whatever reasons. Diem saw this as CT playing her and not giving her what she wanted. And he really didn’t care because he can’t hold her hand forever…AND he doesn’t owe her anything. I love when he asked her why did you lose the final challenge! All you had to do was not come in last place!! Amazing.

PaulaEmily

So Diem is having a full out psycho attack…with her red wine in her hand she’s walking through the house looking for trouble. Aneesa is trying to get her to lay off and go to sleep. Diem isn’t having it, she has a thing out for Cooke I don’t know why. She starts giving Cooke the evil eye because Cooke is totally care free at this point. Anyone in Diem’s way is open for fire. Also, if Cooke and Cara lost the challenge there would be no fighting…the house is a mess because Cooke and Cara won immunity. Revenge is so sweet!

CamandJem

At the deliberations, Jordan and Marlon surprisingly vote for Jem and Camila. I have to respect Jordan’s decision as he based it on the fact Em and Paula have won almost every challenge, they deserve to see the finals…they fought hard enough. And I agree, they were the powerhouse of the game…like Cooke and Cara they proved themselves…I think it’s time for Diem and Aneesa to do the same.

So the final jungle will be Diem and Aneesa VS Jemmye and Camila.

I’ve always been Team NOLA so I hope I see Jem and Cam back in the game for the final race.

Who do you guys think will win the jungle?

RIVALS II: Who Got Eliminated?

On last night’s episode of MTV’s Rivals II we said goodbye to Real World New Orleans cast members Knight and Preston. After falling into last place…Knight and Preston had no choice but to fight for their lives in the jungle. This was the last elimination for the guys so it was extremely important to win.

281x211

Rookies Marlon and Jordan knew they would be facing Knight and Preston…they ended up ruining them in the final jungle. Great job for the rookies…they just won themselves a ticket to the final race.

The 3 teams for the guys are:
CT and Wes

Johnny and Frank

Marlon and Jordan

Next week is a girls elimination…at this point teams are so close to the final challenge nobody wants to go into a jungle. We’ll see how it goes down.

The 4 teams for the girls are:

Diem and Aneesa

Emily and Paula

Cooke and Cara

Jemmye and Camila

Tune in next week for what’s sure to be one of the best episodes of the season!

RIVALS II: The Couples Quiz

Still recovering from last week’s bizarre elimination round, the roomies have all banded together in their quest to bring down Theresa. When did this girl become Pucket’s most hated?

rivalsII

By innocently throwing away her vote for LeRoy, Theresa allowed Diem to effortlessly stir the pot, and when Diem’s final vote sent Leroy into eliminations, Theresa decides she can no longer trust ANYONE in the house. Girl, this isn’t a game of friendship, people are ready to attack and the fact that she was so surprised by Diem’s move, proves how little she knows about the challenge.

Moving on!…It’s a girl elimination week, which means the drama meters were boiling, especially because we’re halfway to the final challenge. TJ has a sneaky deaky challenge lined up, one that tests how well the rival teams know each other. One team member is tied up to a rope, suspended over the water ( as usual) and the other teammate has to answer questions, with the same answers their partner gave. Emily and Paula obviously killed the game like they always do, winning first place and winning immunity from eliminations.

Jemmye and Camilla were the first team to go down, so they automatically get sent to eliminations.  This game also added fire to the flame, as some questions asked team members who they thought was the fakest in the house? Or who needed the most attention in the house? The worst part was, if you answered wrong, you would’ve proven to the entire house what you thought of that person, then TJ named who your partner really chose …so now two people hate you in the house! It happened to Jemmye and Jonna, TJ asks Nany who Jonna thinks is fake in the house…and Jonna ends up saying  Jemmye. It was a big surprise for Jemmye, while she’s sitting on the side line, she flashes that ghetto girl grin like s**** about to go down NOLA style!

The guys have a laugh out of it, TJ asks CT which girl in the house is the trashiest…CT opts to not say anyone’s name and basically sends Wes into the waters. It was a very smart move on CT’s part.

Right away, Theresa is putting in work trying to get the rookie guys on her side. She asks them to vote in Diem and Aneesa, Jordan tells her that he has her back and they’re all good. After that, Jordan and Marlon are discussing their decision, when Johnny B overhears and decides to give them some words of advice. Obviously, the smartest choice would be to vote Theresa in because nobody wants her there. When TJ arrives, Jordan admits he promised Theresa one thing, but he’s going back on his word and voting for her anyways. Whatt’ya gonna do Theresa! This one’s for the books. Jasmine stands up before her name is even called…all like she’s ready for the battle, nothing can stop her, she always has the funniest walk when she knows she’s going into eliminations. TJ is quick to notice it and even asks her why she takes on a different attitude when she knows she could be going home. It’s so funny.

This elimination looked like fun, the two teams had to run on treadmills while throwing a ball across to their teammate, and then they had to dump the ball into a bin.  Looks easy but when you’re running your ass off..it becomes tricky. Oh and there’s a big muddy hole in the ground so if you fly off the treadmill…it’ll break the fall.

They seem to edit the eliminations the same, at first they make you think one team has it in the bag and then magically the other team wins. Jasmine and Theresa started off good, but when Jasmine takes a tumble…the momentum stops. Jemmye and Camilla end up winning…which is a good thing because we are all Team NOLA. But jasmine, you will be missed.

In the end, Jordan admits whatever feelings he has for Jonna are irrelevant because he’s trying to the win the big money. On the other side of the house, Nany is talking about Jonna and how she always needs a guy’s attention in her life, which sounds about right. Nany admits the reason her and Jonna are rivals are because of Jonna’s ex…Zach. There is a whole lot of drama behind these partners that the show doesn’t even show!

Thought you guys would like this CLICK on CT! 🙂

RIVALS II: Bad Charades, Sucky Teammates

Last night was another crazy episode of MTV’s The Challenge Rivals II. Right off the start, Marlon’s sexuality is the topic of discussion, with Derek admitting they hooked up the first night in the pool. Derek wasn’t sure if anyone else knew Marlon was gay, so he didn’t want to tell anyone. Jordan, who was on the same season with Marlon, told the other guys, Marlon admitted to them that he was bisexual. This surprises the other guys because Marlon couldn’t be a more Alpha male type. During their charades game, Leroy passes up the opportunity to act out Marlon, because he doesn’t really know the rookie. Knight jumps up and decides to act out Marlon…only nobody finds it funny…and a fight breaks out.

Knight

I love Knight, but sometimes he just acts like a 5-year old and doesn’t realize his actions are hurting other people. I don’t think it’s the right way to play the game, especially when you’re depending on the girls to vote for you. The fight breaks out between Marlon and Knight, and surprisingly Preston jumps in to save the day.

Jemmye

Trishelle and Aneesa some how get into a verbal argument, Trishelle is literally a nut job and she decides to pack up her bags and leave! I actually didn’t think she would go through with it, but she walks out, doesn’t even say bye to anyone and leaves her partner alone. Sarah…who we love..but hasn’t had the best luck with partners is stuck wondering what her fate will be. TJ shows up, which is always bad news. He tells Sarah they don’t have another partner for her,  therefore she has to leave! How can this happen again!!!

SarahShe really is a great competitor, and it sucks to see her leave because of her partner’s decision, but I don’t think she would’ve made it to the end with Trishelle. Next time she’s on a show, they should have 3 back up partners for her!

Challenge day, and it is another crazy obstacle. Partners have to climb up a shaky ladder, above water, and slide themselves across two ropes. It’s shaky and hard to keep still with your partner moving along with you, if you fall into the water you have to start again.

Ct WesKnight and Preston came in last, they were the only team that couldn’t make it to the end. This time, it was actually Knight’s fault, once he fell, he couldn’t get back onto the rope in time, poor Preston was hanging there the whole damn time!

Cara and Cooke

No surprise, Emily and Paula came in first, Johnny B and Frank came in first for the guys. The girls ended up voting for Derek and Robb to face Knight and Preston in the elimination round.

Teams had to battle it out with sticks that they had to break on their opponents body. The only thing, they were blindfolded and had to follow the instructions of their teammate from the side line. Robb and Derek won the first round against Preston.

Robb_Preston

Knight beat Derek for the second round, tying the game  up. For the final round, it was Robb vs Knight, and Knight came out of the woodwork to win this elimination for his team!

final round

We lost like four people in one episode, it was cray cray. In the end, Knight apologizes to Marlon for his actions. Marlon forgives him for now…and then hooks up with Nany! Oh Yeah!

Battle of the Seasons: Recap

Once this week’s episode of Battle of the Seasons it’s obvious that there’s no more room for the Vets…and that the Rookies have officially taken over. Usually what happens in these challenges is individuals/teams get categorized as a veteran or a rookie…if you’re a rookie and new to the game you’re most likely the first team to be eliminated because the veterans end up controlling the outcome.

This time around, there are way more Rookie teams than Veterans…most of the cast have never been on the challenges…and it’s surprising that there’s barely any vets on the show. It is a good thing, it makes for better TV, because frankly I think everyone was getting sick of Kenny Santucci,Johnny Bananas and Paula. Now that there’s new blood, they are out for the Vets…and unfortunately for Veteran Team Austin…they’re the first team to go. I thought Team Austin would end up being in the final challenge, they had Wes and he’s an idiot but great at these challenges. Since he was eliminated last week, it was only a matter of time before Danny and Melinda were sent back into elimination…where they ended up being sent home.

This week’s challenge was an oil wrestle between teams…Girl vs Girl/Guy vs Guy sort of thing. Each time a team won they would add a piece to this star thing that had to be completed. The power teams (Cancun/San Diego) decided they would throw their matches, and ultimately win the ones they chose…so that their stars would be completed first…and none of them would have a chance at being last. San Diego ended up taking first place, since Cancun had power team last week. It was basically down to St.Thomas and Austin (Melinda vs Laura). Whoever lost would be in the bottom and send them into the elimination round. Laura came out of the woodwork and won by pulling Melinda’s thumb over the red line- disqualifying Team Austin…and making Marie the happiest woman ever.

Now San Diego had a huge decision to make, send in the rookies (St.Thomas) because they hate Trey…or send in basically the only veteran team (Fresh Meat). Las Vegas is actually lucky because they would be considered veterans…if it wasn’t for their team being split into the old Las Vegas and the new Las Vegas seasons. Since Dustin and Nany make up half the team, they get away with being in the “rookie safezone”. Franky has literally become the Nazi Hunter against veterans….and has it out for Fresh Meat. They try talking to St.Thomas and try to get them on their side, for some reason Trey doesn’t trust Zach and Frank…and he refuses to kiss a**.

It wasn’t a surprise that in the end San Diego ended up choosing Fresh Meat to go into the eliminations with Team Austin. The only problem was, none of the Fresh Meat crew could decide on who was going into battle. Nobody felt like it was their turn to go in, Big Easy especially since he beat out Wes last week. San Diego had to choose the two team members, Camila and Big Easy were chosen…and they came back successful. The final elimination challenge was based on ‘endurance’…it seems like Big Easy’s size has actually benefited him these last two weeks.

Not much ‘drama’ ensued which is a real surprise since these shows tend to bring out the worst in people. Trey cried a little, Knight is still heart broken over cheating on Jemmye- he would marry her in a heart beat…and Zach (San Diego) and Jonna (Cancun) can’t keep their hands off each other. Also, I really love how my favourite team (NOLA) is staying under the radar…Jemmye is clearly on her best behaviour which is working out for them since they haven’t even been close to being sent into eliminations.

Battle of the Seasons Premiere!

It’s pretty clear how amazing the new season of MTV’s Battle of the Seasons is going to play out when the top pick team gets sent into elimination- and then sent home!! Let’s start from the beginning.

Bodrum, Turkey…Battle of the Seasons….we have teams with veterans and teams with rookies…evidently that doesn’t mean anything in this game, because really anything can happen…and it did. My top pick was Team Austin (Danny,Melinda,Wes and Lacey) Obviously, they have the experience of playing in these challenges, and although Wes sounds like an idiot for the most part, he uses his brain occasionally. They also have strength, although it was pretty clear team member Lacey (whose never been in a challenge) was their weakest link.

(This cast picture is the worst! People in the back are blurry!)

Another huge surprise was the introduction of a brand new team…’The Fresh Meat Team’ which consisted of Defending Champ Camilla, Cara-Maria, Big Easy and Brandon. It was really random since the entire theme of the show was the battle between Real World seasons…I don’t get why they introduced a completely different concept as the new team. Anyways…

The challenge in this episode was pretty straight forward, climb up a ladder 30ft over the water, cross a tilting beam, reach the other end and climb down…all without falling off. So everyone knows Big Easy as the fattest guy that’s ever done the challenge. In The Gauntlet III Eric actually costs his Veteran Team a loss at the final prize money because he ran out of breath and needed medical attention. One of the rules was to have all team members at the finish line, since he wasn’t….they lost and the Rookies ended up winning! Ouch! He’s back now and having lost some weight has more confidence. Unfortunately, his streak doesn’t last too long because he can barely make it up the ladder and when he does…he falls off and can’t get back on. His team has to DQ which inevitably sends them into the elimination round.

I never paid much attention to Team Cancun, but they have such an awesome relationship with each other, and in these challenges that’s probably the most important factor to being successful. Right from the beginning you can see how they respect one another and work well as a team. It wasn’t surprising that they ended up winning the first challenge, putting them into first place, and giving them the privilege to choose the other team to go into the elimination round. Apparently, CJ doesn’t let go of grudges and he is determined to send Wes into elimination, since Wes did the same to him when CJ was still a rookie. Also, Wes is probably the biggest threat, he’s dumb but he knows how to win elimination rounds.

So it’s pretty obvious that Team Cancun wants to send Austin in…but they decide to have a private meeting with St.Thomas…just for fun. Trey is an idiot, he thinks he has an inkling of how to go about playing this game…he doesn’t…and when he interrupted Marie during their meeting…he made their team look like a bunch of idiots. He should just keep his mouth shut from now on and let Marie do the talking. Trey needs to understand that since he is a part of the newest team…they have the biggest target on their backs…and they’re probably going to have to do some a** kissing, that’s just part of the game. Also, I loved how Wes assumed St.Thomas would have his back since they all ‘watched’ him on previous seasons and were big ‘fans’ of his.

The decision is final, Cancun votes in Austin for the final elimination against Team Fresh Meat.

Now the partying begins. First off, love the new romance between Jonna (Cancun) and Zac (San Diego)…they look hot together…but umm isn’t it kind of awkward being in front of his ex Ashley? Girl code? No…we didn’t think so. Other predictions…CJ and Nany? Maybe?…Knight and Jemmye…never. Preston and JD…LOVES IT! So in true first night challenge fashion…the drinks come out and everyone is letting loose…especially Frank. Oh Frank…I really want to love Frank but he’s extremely hard to love when he gets drunk and acts like an idiot. Him and Zac apparently have a bromance…and walk on out wearing hot pink speedos. Unfortunately, the laughter doesn’t last too long because there always has to be someone there to mess it up. Frank freaks out on Robb…for no reason…and then gets into something with Wes. Zac has to literally hold him back…and ends up taking him into their bedroom and strattling him (ooh). Then Ashley and Sam come to the rescue, Sam yells out something to Frank…Frank calls her girlfriend a fat ****…and it’s officially gone crazy. They don’t look stable…and it’s just not a good look for their team.

My fave team NOLA…was completely missing from the festivities especially party girl Jemmye…and McKenzie is sure to be the most boring cast member ever on a challenge. They started out shaky….Preston ended up falling off the beam structure during the challenge, but he managed to pick himself up and finish it so that NOLA didn’t DQ. (Love him).

So in the final challenge…the one thing that Big Easy can win at…is exactly what he ended up with and it was extremely helpful for him. It’s basically this thin-long box and each team member stands at opposite ends…you basically run at each other and whoever makes it to the other end first, wins the round. How are you going to pass a 300-pound man…you can’t- sorry Wes.

Lacy ended up losing to Cara Maria. In the first round between Wes and Big Easy…Big Easy legit blows right through Wes he picks him up and runs with him until he knocks over the bell!!!!!! It was insanity, there’s no way Wes is going to get around Biggy. In their second round, Wes tries to go underneath him…it kind of works and they both end up making it out but they hit the bells at the exact time. Well almost, they have to go back and do an instant replay and they basically determine that Big Easy touched it first!! Big Easy sends Wes home!!!

It’s crazy, it’s shocking…and what’s even more crazy is that now Danny and Melinda are left alone on Team Austin…they fell in love…got married…and then got divorced…and now they’re supposed to win it all? Seems unlikely…I can’t believe my top pick goes out the window in the first episode! Team Cancun is lookin’ good.
