HERNAMEISBANKS and she’s killing it.

She’s a Goddess and she definitely got this.

As she stands on stage and sings her soul out to the audience of Toronto’s The Hoxton, we can’t help but be bewitched by this tiny girl with haunting lyrics and a hypnotic voice. Some people say she looks like a witch, with her ‘all-black everything’ wardrobe and flowy black cape. But, realistically this girl is a modern day heroine. If you haven’t checked out her music, you’re absolutely missing out. She’s a genius and I love The Weeknd for introducing us to a talent that won’t be fading away anytime soon.

Her performance on June 10th at The Hoxton lasted for about an hour, she sang two encore songs, and still had the audience wanting more. Not too crazy about the venue, but she was hauntingly vibrant on stage and I can’t wait to hear more music from this girl.

Check out our video from her performance and check out @hernameisbanks  and her YouTube page for all her music.

Song of the Week: ‘Simple Things’ Miguel

This song played on last night’s episode of Girls. I love it, and I can’t believe they actually played a Miguel song on that show. Anyways, I’ve already listened to it like 45 times, check it out and enjoy!

Song of the Week: Jessie Ware

Song of the Week goes to Jessie Ware who you’ve probably never heard of but will possibly fall in love with after you hear her song ‘Night Light’. She has a bunch of other songs on her YouTube page so go check it out! Support new music.

Song of the Week: The WEEKND

Just in time for The Weeknd…no pun intended. Here’s a song from his new album Kissland. We’ll be at his concert on October 20th so be sure to check back for the review on that show.

I’m loving the album…especially when I’m ready to fall asleep! Check out ‘Professional’ one of my fave songs from Kissland.

S U I TS: “Bad Faith”

Last night’s episode of Suits was uneventful compared to the episodes we’ve seen in the past few weeks. Mike and Rachel get into a big fight after Mike visits her father and gets him to agree on a deal by using Rachel as a weapon. When Rachel finds out she’s furious with Mike…and she no longer knows if moving in together is a good idea.

Harvey and Donna are enjoying the aftermath of the Ava Hessington case…but things are about to get worse before Donna gets another handbag. At the end of the episode, Jessica finds out that Scotty had no involvement in Harvey’s deal with Wholesome Foods…and Ava not only fired Harvey…but she’s suing the entire firm for malpractice. Ooh girl!

Next week’s promo for the summer season finale looks absolutely cray! Jessica finds out about Mike and Rachel and she isn’t happy. Donna visits her man in prison…I wonder if Steven will end up being her baby daddy.

MUSIC: Song of the Summer

Everyone has their fav summer song…most people this season are going with the Robin Thicke/Pharrell mix…maybe a little Drake…or Daft Punk’s return with ‘Get Lucky’. This song by Disclosure has me good…it is definitely my song of the summer!

The rest of their album has a similar sound, almost a techno/pop feel. Not a big fan of the entire album, but this track is hot! Check it out.
